How to Manage MessageBank:

To change your MessageBank Greeting follow the below:


  1. Call 101 or hold down the key on your Telstra mobile.

  2. You’ll hear any new voice messages first and then be directed to the MessageBank main menu.

  3. Press for Mailbox Setup

  4. Press for Greetings

  5. Press to re-record your new personal greeting.


To Enable MessageBank:



*61*101**30#

Divert to 101 when unanswered for 30 seconds.

The 30 denotes the number of seconds before forwarding. Can be set to 15, 20 or 25 seconds.

*62*101#

Divert to 101 when unreachable - If the phone is out of range or turned of.

*67*101#

Divert to 101 when busy – If you are already on a call.

*21*101#

Divert all calls to 101 - If you are on holidays or out of the country.

To Disable MessageBank:

Cancel divert when unanswered

Cancel divert when unreachable

#67#

Cancel divert when busy

Cancel all diverts


How do I Extend My Ring Time?

  1. On your Telstra mobile, dial **61*101** then the number of seconds you want to extend your ring time to - 15, 20, 25 or 30 - then finish with #. So, to extend your ring time to 30 seconds, you’d dial **61*101**30#

  2. Press Call/Send

  3. You’ll see a screen confirming your ring time extension has been successful.

Changed your message bank but still getting old greetings?

Please get the user to dial 101 and select option 3 for mailbox set then 1 for greetings.

Then there are three separate options for diferent types of diversions. Ensure each of the below are set to the correct message bank


  1. Normal greetings

  2. Busy greetings

  3. Absent Greetings
